"I offer a comprehensive diagnostic and investigative service with access to specialist pain psychology and pain physiotherapy services."
I completed my medical degree at St Mary’s Hospital, London, and my postgraduate training in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in Bristol. From 2004 to 2015 I was a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. Since then I have worked independently in both specialties.
I offer a comprehensive diagnostic and investigative service with access to specialist pain psychology and pain physiotherapy services. I strongly believe that a holistic approach to managing pain is vital, and advise on medication, physical therapy, psychological treatment as well as performing a variety of interventional procedures as required, such as lumbar epidural, facet joint injections, sacroiliac injections, trigger point injections, radiofrequency lesioning, and peripheral nerve blocks, using ultrasound and X-ray, as required.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Sally-Ann Ryder at Spire include:
