I am a graduate of Royal London Hospital Medical College and I trained in cardiology in Reading and Oxford 1993 - 2001. I was a British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellow, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Oxford 1996 - 1998, investigating atrial arrhythmias and the role of biatrial pacing in my prevention after cardiac surgery.
I was Interventional Fellow, Department of Cardiology, Green Lane Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand in 2002. I have produced publications on atrial fibrillation and cardiac arrhythmias (Oxford Textbook of Geriatric Medicine), diseases of the aorta, valve disease, angioplasty and pre-operative risk.
I am a cardiologist for Reading Football Club and am currently Clinical Director of Thames Valley Cardiac Network.
