Kath qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1996 and gained extensive experience working in a variety of acute medical and surgical specialties within the NHS, including five years as a Ward Sister.
Kath has worked as a Bariatric Specialist Nurse since 2009 and was involved in the setting up and development of the weight loss surgery service at the Royal Berkshire Hospital Reading, where she currently works as the senior Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Kath is passionate about influencing high standards of patient care and has gained further qualifications both in Obesity Management and Leading and Developing Nursing Practice. She is a fully registered member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and is a member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS).
