I am specialised in colorectal procedures, including laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeries, surgery for piles, fissure, fistula-in-ano, surgery for inflammatory bowel disease, abdominal wall and groin hernias, gallbladders surgeries and endoscopy.
I have a special interest in pilonidal surgery, fistula-in-ano, abdominal wall reconstructions and parastomal hernia repair.
I studied medicine in Romania and became a doctor in 2004. I completed a joined surgical training in general surgery in Romania and the UK in 2013 and then worked in various UK hospitals as a colorectal SpR.
I then completed two surgical fellowships; in Oxford with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Team (IBD) and at the Royal Berkshire Hospital as a laparoscopic fellow.
I was appointed as a consultant emergency, general and colorectal surgeon at Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2021.
I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer for Southampton Medical Students attached to Royal Berkshire Hospital.
