Nick qualified as a Medical Mechanical Engineer from Dublin in 2004, which focused on the medical application of biomechanics. He then qualified from Salford University with honours in Prosthetics and Orthotics, which involved rotations at Nottingham City Hospital and the Robert Jones and Angus Hunt Hospital. In 2014, he attained a master's degree in Clinical Biomechanics from Staffordshire University.
Nick currently works as the Head of Service and Orthotic Clinical Lead at the Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust Hospital and has been working with the team at Spire Dunedin Hospital since 2010.
Along with supporting the physiotherapy team and orthopaedic consultants at Dunedin, Nick also provides support to Reading Football Club's Academy, GB Rowing and GB Hockey. His most recent appointment is as the official foot specialist to the London Irish rugby union club. This appointment involves the screening and management of lower limb injuries.
