MBChB BSc (medsci) (Hons) MRCOG DTMH
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist at The Royal Infirmary Edinburgh and am a general gynaecologist with particular interests in pelvic ultrasound and hysteroscopic surgery. I perform laparoscopic, open, hysteroscopic and vaginal surgery.
After qualifying from medical school in Glasgow in 2008, I was appointed to posts in North East England and South Africa followed by Specialist training in South East Scotland.
I am strongly involved in teaching and training. I train and accredit gynaecology trainees in pelvic ultrasound in Edinburgh and I am a lead instructor on the BSGE GESEA programme where I train and accredit gynaecologists’ minimal access surgical skills nationally and internationally.
I am a certified member of the International Ovarian Tumour Analysis (IOTA) Group which is recognised internationally as a method of assessing ovarian cysts.
I offer transvaginal pelvic ultrasound scans at consultation allowing for prompt diagnosis and individualised explanation of findings during the consultation/scan and allowing for the prompt initiation of treatment and, if required and desired, planning surgery.
