MBChB DRCOG MRCGP
I graduated from the University of Birmingham and completed my foundation training at various hospitals throughout the West Midlands before moving to Edinburgh for GP training. The training was based around the Borders, Midlothian and East Lothian. I worked in General Medicine, General Surgery, Breast surgery, Stroke medicine as well as Child Psychiatry, General Psychiatry, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. During my training I did the diploma of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists and was winner of the Royal College of GPs South East of Scotland Quality Improvement Award for a project looking at implementing a system to improve recognition and management of patients at risk of diabetes.
I have worked in several GP practices within East Lothian and continue to do regular sessions with NHS Lothian unscheduled GP service (NHS24). I am currently the East Lothian consortium lead for the GP Out of Hours Service.
I have also been working for several years with the ‘Care When It Counts’ service in East Lothian and been particularly involved in the training and teaching of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
As a General Practitioner, I have an interest in all aspects of medicine. I have worked with the Spire GP service since the Edinburgh service began and feel the longer appointment times and connections to the Secondary care consultants mean that for every patient we can come up with the most thorough and effective management plans.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Anna Hadden at Spire include:
General practice
Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP)
Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (DRCOG)
Locum General Practitioner.
General Practitioner for Lothian Unscheduled Care Service.
I live in North Berwick with my husband and our two young girls. I enjoy surfing, paddle boarding and running.
