I have extensive experience in all areas of Respiratory Medicine with subspecialist expertise in airway diseases, including asthma, COPD, chronic cough and bronchiectasis. In my Respiratory practice I offer a patient-centred approach to investigation and treatment or all respiratory complaints.
I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and then completed my postgraduate training in South East Scotland. Since 2009, I have been a Consultant Physician at St John’s Hospital in NHS Lothian, where I am the Clinical Lead for Respiratory Medicine.
I am actively involved in post-graduate medical education and have held leadership roles related to this including Associate Director of Medical Education and Foundation Programme Director. My Medical Doctorate covered research relating to biomarkers of airway inflammation in asthma and was awarded in 2008 from the University of Edinburgh.
