I specialise in musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain of either single or multiple origin providing a personalised, holistic approach as well as perform interventional procedures when necessary to provide package of pain management. I use targeted nerve techniques with ultrasound and X-ray to promote a prompt and speedy recovery.
I am a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Spire Edinburgh Hospitals. As a Consultant in Pain Medicine, I am highly experienced in both the assessment and treatment of pain. In addition, I am also working as a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at NHS Lothian Trust, Edinburgh in a multidisciplinary team set up on Biopsychosocial model.
I qualified in Anaesthesia before becoming professionally trained as a Consultant in Pain Medicine and have worked in hospitals both in the UK and India. I completed a prestigious fellowship at the world-renowned centre for pain management, Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Liverpool. I am also committed to continuing professional development and regularly attend lectures and conferences to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
I regularly teach trainees and other medical personnel as well as present abstracts and posters at national and international conferences. I am also a keen researcher and involved in researching new forms of neuromodulation as well as medicines for the long-term treatment of neuropathy/pain.
