I am a fellowship trained Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon, who specialises in the management of degenerative conditions affecting the spine, including the neck, back, sacro-iliac joint and the coccyx.
I completed my training in neurosurgery at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh and was awarded the FRCS in neurosurgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018. I completed the highly prestigious Leeds spinal surgery fellowship at Leeds General Infirmary in 2018. I gained the Fellowship of the European Board of Neurological Surgery in 2020 and my name was added to the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register in the specialty of neurosurgery in 2020.
I started working as a Consultant at the Ninewells Hospital in Dundee in 2020. I initially worked as a Locum Consultant Neurosurgeon from December 2020 to October 2021, before starting my current Consultant Spine Surgeon post in November 2021.
I have had comprehensive training in spinal surgery and have chosen management of spinal degenerative disease and spinal trauma as my specialisation. I am experienced in managing spinal disease with conservative therapy, injections and surgery.

I am actively involved in teaching junior doctors and trainee surgeons. I also teach postgraduate students attending the University of Dundee's MCh(Orth) course. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and hill-walking.
I am married and live with my family in Edinburgh.
