I am a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. I work at Spire Murrayfield Hospital and at the National Treatment Centre in NHS Fife.
I regularly perform robotic joint replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy and trauma surgery.
Having graduated at The University of Nottingham, I then undertook basic surgical training in Nottingham and Sydney, Australia. I moved to Edinburgh in 2004 to complete Orthopaedic training. In 2012 I travelled to Brisbane, Australia for a hip and knee replacement fellowship under the tutelage of Professor Ross Crawford - one of Australia's leading research surgeons. Professor Crawford was the first Australian surgeon to perform a robotically-assisted hip replacement. I took up post in Fife in 2014.
I continue to present research work both in the UK and at various European meetings.
