Virtual consultations:
I specialise in surgery of the lower limb and have a particular interest in hip and knee replacement where I have experience in surgery performed for the first time (primary surgery) and in situations where the previous joint replacement fails and requires a redo (revision surgery).
I also have experience of performing joint replacements in very young patients and in patients with prior deformities such as developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). I enjoy teaching and training other surgeons and regularly teach on cadaveric hip and knee replacement courses.
I studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh where I also attained a BSc honours degree. I completed my orthopaedic training in South East Scotland before spending a year working as a fellow at The Prince Charles and Holy Spirit Northside hospitals in Brisbane, specialising in hip and knee surgery using computer navigation.
Research interests: Joint replacement surgery.
