I specialise in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, complex cataract surgery (including IOL exchange), vitreoretinal surgery (for floaters, epiretinal membranes, macular holes and retinal detachment), retinal diseases and diabetic eye disease.

I have performed thousands of cataract and vitreoretinal procedures with a much lower than national average complication rate. I use the most up to date and safest techniques, and regularly review outcomes and new technologies as they become established.

I am a clear communicator who will listen to you as a patient and help you make the best decision to achieve your visual goals and decide on a treatment pathway.

I have been working in the NHS since 2012. I have experience of the American, Canadian, South African and French healthcare systems so appreciate how different systems all have their own benefits and place in providing a high-quality and comprehensive service for patients.
