Specialises in
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. I was appointed as a Consultant in Calderdale and Huddersfield in June 2008. I was born in Nottinghamshire and qualified from Manchester University in 1990. After basic surgical training, a year of anaesthetics and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, I worked for two years in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa in Primary Care, followed by trauma surgery. This was followed by eight months of nursing an old four-wheel drive up and down East and Southern Africa.
My Higher Orthopaedic training was on the Yorkshire Rotation followed by two Fellowships in Lower Limb Arthroplasty in Leeds and York.
Apart from general trauma commitments, including periprosthetic fractures, my sub-specialty interest is in primary hip and revision hip surgery.
