I am a double fellowship trained substantive consultant ophthalmic surgeon. I specialise in adults and children with eyelid malposition, eye misalignment (squint) and cataract surgery.
I have a specialist interest in aesthetic and functional surgery of the eyelids, including blepahroplasty, ptosis, entropion or ectropion along with correcing eye misalignments (squints).
Along with this my practice includes planning bespoke cataract surgery using the latest intraocular lenses to give you the best visual outcomes to suit your specific daily needs.
To date I have performed over 5,000 cataract surgeries, thousands of eyelid surgeries and over 500 eye muscle surgeries to help correct squints across both my NHS and private practice.
I have been in post since 2020 at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust.

I am the RCOphth College Tutor at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS trust.
I am a recognised RCOphth examiner for the FRCOphth examinations.

Over the last four years I have spent a lot of my time operating in charity hospitals across Pakistan to help the less fortunate. I have also worked with charitable organisations across Pakistan to help support training workshops for local ophthalmologists. I also helped set up the UK FRCOphth exams in Pakistan which are run annually now.
