I qualified at St Thomas' Hospital (UMDS) and subsequently had a broad surgical training in London (including the Royal Marsden and Hammersmith Hospitals) and Sheffield University Hospital. I gained my FRCS and specialised in Urology. As a research registrar I evaluated the latest treatments in both urinary incontinence and the prostate leading to a higher degree.
I was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at both Huddersfield and Halifax in March 2005.
I have published extensively, including chapters in two books. Formal urological training was in Yorkshire and included a six month fellowship in urological cancer surgery in Manchester.
