Spire Elland Hospital's new electric car charging port

18 February 2020

Last year saw Spire Elland acquire their first electric vehicle, a Nissan Leaf. The Nissan LEAF has been ranked as one of the best electric cars on the market and as a result, is helping Spire Elland to reduce it's carbon footprint.

Recent developments have allowed for Spire Elland Hosptial to purchase an electric car charging port to support this. The new type two 7.2kw charger has two ports available that can be used by patients and visitors of the hospital. It can be found in the rear car park of the hospital.

This development is part of Spire Elland's green initiative, attempting to do what they can to reduce the carbon footprint that they leave on the world.
