I have been an NHS consultant interventional cardiologist at Blackpool Victoria Hospital since 2013. I am an expert in the management of chest pain, heart failure, AF, valve disease (eg aortic stenosis) and general cardiology.
I specialise in coronary angiography and PCI, PFO closure (Hole in the heart – or Patent Foramen Ovale) and TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation).
I have performed several thousand coronary angiograms and PCI’s. I am a high volume TAVI and PFO operator.
I am the trust mortality and morbidity divisional lead. I am also a trust designated serious incident (SI) case investigator and case manager.
I am a designated medical practitioner (DMP) at the University of Central Lancashire and teaching is my passion.
