Over the next five years I trained in respiratory medicine in the Mersey Region. I had the opportunity to work with Professor Peter Calverley, an authority on COPD, Professor Mike Pearson, Director of Clinical Effectiveness and Evaluation RCP and Professor Peter Davies who has done extensive work on tuberculosis.
