I am a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in Urogynaecology.

I qualified as a doctor in 2001 and subsequently undertook training to specialise in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the Northwest deanery, where I gained a wider experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology patient management.

I undertook further sub-specialty training in Urogynaecology at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, where I widened my experience in all aspects of female pelvic floor problems including vaginal prolapse, obstetric anal sphincter injuries and urinary incontinence.

I was awarded the certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with in 2015 and I have been working as a consultant at Blackpool Teaching Hospital NHS Trust since then.

Within urogynaecology, my main area of expertise is in the management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. With evidence favouring better recovery and outcomes from day case surgery, I have spearheaded day case pelvic floor surgery and vaginal hysterectomy practice within my region since becoming a consultant.

I am also a highly skilled benign Laparoscopic surgeon treating menstrual problems and pelvic pain.
