I graduated from Bombay University in 1989. I then trained as a general surgeon and acquired the basic surgical qualification, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). I commenced my training in plastic surgery in 1992 in India and acquired the MCh(Plast) from the University of Bombay. I then continued my training in plastic surgery in the UK in London, Wales, and then completed my higher surgical training in plastic surgery in the West Midlands. After acquiring the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast) I completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at McIndoe Surgical Centre at East Grinstead, and a prestigious Fellowship in Microsurgery at Chang Gung Hopsital in Taiwan. I was appointed as consultant in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Royal Preston Hospital, Preston, UK.
I undertake a full range of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgical procedures. I have an active and busy cosmetic surgery practice in Fylde Coast, Preston, Chorley and East Lancashire. I provide plastic surgery services in skin cancer, breast reconstruction and hand surgery in the North West. I am also known for my expertise in hypospadias surgery, and provide the largest plastic surgery training resource for this surgery in North West England.
I specialise in: Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck); breast enlargement; breast reconstruction; breast reduction; body reshaping; congenital breast and chest conditions; ears; facelift, neck lift & brow lift; liposuction; mastopexy or breast uplift surgery; rhinoplasty (nose job).
I supervise Master’s students at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston (UCLAN) conducting basic research in plastic surgery. One of the student’s research projects involves laboratory research in cell growth of scar tissue around breast implants. The second student’s research project is to generate a computer model of blood vessel flow in microsurgery. I have an active interest in research and teaching in plastic surgery, having published over 40 papers in medical literature and presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
I am currently the Clinical Director in plastic surgery at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and am responsible for this department that serves the needs of plastic surgery of a population of about 1.2 million in the North West of England.
I currently am an invited member of the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) in plastic surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons, London that leads the plastic surgery training in the UK and Republic of Ireland. I am also a member of the Intercollegiate Committee for Core Surgery Training that leads the early surgical training years in the UK and Republic of Ireland. I am an examiner for the FRCS (Plast) examinations conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons. I was formerly the Chair of the Plastic Surgery Training Committee in North West England that was responsible for the recruitment and training of all plastic surgery doctors in North West of England.

I enjoy travelling and meeting people from different cultures and societies. This has helped me in listening and responding to different people's needs and aspirations. I often spend a Saturday afternoon at the village green playing cricket. Reading has always been a hobby, while of late, editing movies has piqued my interest.
