I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist for nine years.

My main sub-specialty interest lies in endoscopy and specifically bowel cancer screening.

I have personally performed or supervised over 3,000 gastroscopies, 3,000 flexible sigmoidoscopies and 4,000 colonoscopies.

I am the current Director of the Bowel Cancer Screening Program for South-West London. I am a JAG-accredited Bowel Screening Colonoscopist and an examiner for the Bowel Scope Screening programme. I also maintain a significant interest in endoscopy training and was the previous Endoscopy Training Lead at St George's Hospital for over 3 years. I lead endoscopy training courses held at the National Endoscopy Training Centre at St George's Hospital, including the Colonoscopy, Therapeutic and Clinical Endoscopist courses.

Family life is hugely important to me and I spend any opportunity I can exploring the local countryside or venturing out on day-trips with my wife and two children. I enjoy keeping active in body and mind, and can often be found of an evening either in the local gymnasium, out running, or playing squash. I especially enjoy good literature, fine ale, and a good anecdote.
