Specialises in
I am a general ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon, with a subspecialist interest in paediatric ophthalmology and adult squint (strabismus). I have vast experience of managing patients with general ophthalmological conditions ranging from dry, watery and itchy eyes to swollen optic discs, and work closely with other specialists where necessary to coordinate care.
I qualified in medicine from the University of Oxford and undertook ophthalmology training, including sub-speciality paediatric ophthalmology fellowships, in London at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
My excellent training has enabled me to operate as a highly experienced cataract surgeon (over 1,000 cases) and to manage children and adults with eye conditions from newborn. I have been serving my NHS patients at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust (SASH) since May 2020.
I am a clinical and educational supervisor for trainees in Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and regularly present at and attend national and international meetings.
Patient experience and outcomes are at the forefront of my practice.
