MB BS, FRCS, MSc, FRCS (Plast)
I have been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2003, having qualified as a doctor from King's College Hospital in 1990. I have gained extensive training in all areas of plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery having worked at some of the best plastic surgery units in the country. My NHS post is at the world famous Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, where I am the Lead Surgeon for burns but also treat skin cancer, perform breast reconstruction and manage congenital abnormalities, such as vascular malformations. I also work at the Royal Sussex County Hospital to support major trauma.
My private practice covers all areas of cosmetic surgery including breast surgery, facial surgery, body contour surgery, liposuction and abdominoplasty. My experience in this field means that I have expertise in performing common procedures but also managing more complex problems that require a tailored, individual approach.
For my patients to get the best possible results I ensure that a careful and thorough assessment followed by an individualised plan is formulated. I then fully discuss outcomes, risks and aftercare to allow a decision to be made regarding surgery with as much information as possible. Aftercare is just as important and I ensure that all patients are seen personally by me on a regular basis after their surgery. One of the key elements of my practice is communication as this is essential to make the whole process from finding out about a particular procedure to final review as easy as possible. I work closely with Leanne our Cosmetic Surgery Nurse as well as my Dermatology Consultant colleagues so that patients get complete access to all forms of cosmetic enhancement.
I have been featured on Embarrassing Bodies and various documentaries on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 highlighting some of the innovative work my team are involved with. My work with colleagues to help reconstruct an acid burn victim from Kenya was featured on ITV news and in other media.

Away from work I enjoy sport and try to play football and golf whenever I can. I enjoy watching my children play hockey and spend as much time with my family as I can. I enjoy reading and am still trying to master the guitar!
