I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon and the Urological Cancer Lead at East Surrey Hospital. I have a diverse set of subspecialist interests including: prostate and bladder cancer, kidney stones, male sexual health, and benign prostate enlargement. I also manage all aspects of general urology including scrotal swelling, foreskin problems, Haematuria (blood in the urine) and urinary tract infection.
The treatments and surgical procedures I specialise in include: keyhole laser surgery for kidney stones; minimally invasive treatment for benign prostate enlargement (including UroLift®, Rezum and bipolar TURP); prostate cancer diagnostics; investigation of Haematuria (blood in the urine); bladder and testicular cancer treatment; Peyronie's disease; erectile dysfunction; scrotal swelling (including hydrocoele and epididymal cyst); circumcision and vasectomy.
I qualified from the University of Manchester with an MBChB in 2011 and completed my specialist training in urology in Surrey and Sussex, including a kidney stone fellowship in Brighton. I also spent a year training in penile cancer and male sexual dysfunction in Leicester. I was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2020.
I am currently working with the Cancer Alliance on a national pilot to streamline our cancer pathway and cancer multidisciplinary team meeting structure. I have established a nurse-led prostate cancer diagnostics service at my Trust and have mentored other urology departments in the region to do so.
In addition to my clinical work, I have a passion for medical education. I was awarded the position of Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Brighton and Sussex Medical School in 2020 for my involvement in both undergraduate and postgraduate training. My academic role involves regular teaching for years 2-5 medical students, mentorship for medical elective students and academic Foundation Trainees and urology curriculum development.
I am an accredited OSCE examiner and sit on interview panels for undergraduate entry. I run a national interview course endorsed by Health Education England for prospective urology trainees and I have been invited as faculty on many courses run by BAUS and the Royal College of Surgeons including the prestigious FRCS viva course. I am also a trained educational supervisor for Foundation Doctors and Urology Specialist Trainees.
I received Certificates of Excellence from iWantGreatCare and Top Doctors in 2023 in recognition of the positive feedback I received from patients.

I am a peer reviewer for both the Journal of Urology and the Journal of Endoluminal Endourology. My research is published in peer-reviewed journals and I have presented at several international conferences including the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the European Association of Urology and the American Urological Association.

Over the years I have developed a keen interest in helping those less fortunate and improving access to medicine in developing countries. As a urologist for the Canadian Coptic Medical Association, I have travelled to Egypt and Sub-Saharan Africa to offer medical education, treatment and support. Having been awarded the BAUS Urolink Travel award in 2019, l travelled to Tanzania to provide education and training to local urologists. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and I am a keen tennis and table tennis player. I have competed in County level table tennis competitions for the Brighton 1st Division team.
