I am a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgeries, consulting in Surrey and Sussex. My clinical and research interests centre on lower limb reconstruction, including revision arthroplasty and lower limb arthroscopy and trauma surgery.
I am an NHS Consultant at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust and an Honorary Clinical Professor at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (University of Sussex). I offer consultations face to face, via video (Zoom, RingCentral, MST) or telephone.
I strive to provide the best-evidenced based and patient-centred care with consideration and empathy. I aim to address the ideas, concerns and expectations of all patients – young and old, athletic and non-athletic – to improve function.
I graduated from University of Oxford (Christ Church), St George’s Hospital Medical School (University of London), UCL, University of Portsmouth and University of Toronto. I was awarded PhD (2017) with thesis entitled “Optimising the Outcomes of Hip and Knee Replacements”. I undertook two clinical fellowships at world-renowned academic units at University of Toronto: Mount Sinai Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. I was trained by several eminent surgeons including Professor Allan Gross, Professor Hans Kreder, Professor Marvin Tile, Dr Joseph Schatzker.
I was awarded the Zane Cohen Fellowship Achievement Award by the University of Toronto; the first time this had been awarded to an orthopaedic surgeon.
I am also a fully qualified GP (non-practicing).

With an extensive and ongoing research portfolio covering basic science and clinical practice, I currently have over 120 publications, over 10 book chapters and over 80 presentations; including several at the British Orthopaedic Association and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, with a number awarded prizes.
In addition, I collaborated in studies with various university departments and orthopaedic companies and is a reviewer for the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery (Br) and JBJS Am.
