SRO, DBO
I qualified as an orthoptist in 1989 from the Welsh School of Orthoptics and have been practicing ever since. I worked at Moorfields Eye Hospital for 16 years and in Harley Street for 5 years. For the last 15 years, I have worked in private practice at the Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow and more recently at Spire Harpenden and provide a locum service when needed to NHS hospitals. I also run a vision screening service in private schools.
I specialise in assessment and treatment of adult and childhood squints, lazy eyes needing treatment with patching, double vision resulting from injury or cranial nerve palsies and convergence problems. I also regularly perform visual field assessments for glaucoma and DVLA.
I enjoy working with patients of all ages and patient satisfaction is very important to me.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mrs Janine Gray at Spire include:
Orthoptics
Other treatments
Visual assessment, assessment and diagnosis of squint and muscle disorders, assessment and treatment of double vision (using Fresnel Prisms), assessment and treatment of convergence weakness (with exercises), visual field assessments.
