Specialises in
I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in glaucoma and cataract surgery. I offer cataract surgery with monofocal, toric (lenses that correct astigmatism), extended depth of focus and multifocal lens replacement.
I offer a wide range of glaucoma laser and surgical treatments including selective laser trabeculoplasty, trabeculectomy, tube surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
I hold degrees from Oxford University and University College London. The majority of my seven year ophthalmic specialty training was spent at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, concluding with an 18 month fellowship in surgical glaucoma. There I developed significant expertise in treating patients with both routine and complex glaucoma and cataract.
I have extensive research experience, including a research fellowship in glaucoma from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, and my work has been published internationally. I run fellowships at Southend and Orsett hospitals training eye surgeons in glaucoma and cataract surgery.
