I am a Consultant Rheumatologist at Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood, Essex, offering private rheumatology care for adults and children.
I conduct an educational and patient responsive service through my clinics at Spire Hartswood Hospital.
I have been a consultant in rheumatology since 1994 after finishing my training in Oxford and the East Anglian region. I was elected Hon Secretary for the British Society for Rheumatology after working as a Council member and a member of the Clinical Affairs committee and External Relations Committee from 2000-2008. I have been a Visiting and Host Examiner for the MRCP Royal College of Physicians of London for the last 10 years and also a member of the Question Setting group for the Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE). I am also an examiner for the Professional and Linguistics Assessment Board (PLAB) conducted by the GMC and the undergraduate examination at Bart's and The London School of Medicine.

I am an editorial board member of two major journals and review articles for more than a dozen journals in rheumatology. I have published more than 100 peer reviewed articles and have contributed to chapters in the Oxford Text Book of Rheumatology, Oxford Hand Book of Investigations and the Text Book of Rheumatology (Klippel and Dieppe). I have developed national guidelines including Connective Tissue Guidelines published by ARMA. I have also contributed to self help booklets on vasculitis and rheumatoid arthritis published by LUPUS UK.
I am a keen cricketer and represented my university during my student life in India. I have played for several clubs in Oxford and Norwich.
