Specialises in
Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant Cardiologist and provide a comprehensive consultation to my patients. I am happy to assess patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness/funny turn, blackout, palpitations, heart failure, high blood pressure and risk factor management.
I graduated from the University of Dundee in 2002 and went on to work in Dundee and Edinburgh. Upon completion of MRCP in 2005, I undertook cardiac research at the University of Edinburgh, before moving south to undergo cardiology training in Hull and East Yorkshire in 2009.
I have a keen interest in structural and complex coronary intervention, and was successful in obtaining a Trans-Catheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) Fellowship at Kings’ College Hospital, London. Following this, I was then appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Castle Hill Hospital in 2016, where I am currently a high-volume operator in coronary intervention, treating patients with heart attacks and stable coronary disease.
I chose to become a consultant in Hull as I saw the opportunity to further develop a very dynamic cardiac department, and expand services.
I also have an interest in medical education and training, and am currently the Training Programme Director for cardiology trainees within East Yorkshire.
