I completed my MBBS from Calicut University, India. My postgraduate training was in rheumatology and general internal medicine at the Yorkshire Deanery - completed in 2010.
I have worked as a Consultant Rheumatologist and Physician at the Hull Royal Infirmary since September 2010. I set up an Early Inflammatory Arthritis Clinic at Hull Royal Infirmary to facilitate early targeted treatment.
I prepared guidelines for the management of temporal (giant cell) arteritis and educated the local GPs for better management of the condition in the region.
I have also been the Clinical Governance Lead for Rheumatology Services in Hull and East Riding since 2010.
I maintain regular contact with the patient group 'Hull and East Riding Arthritis Care (HERAC)', and am involved in patient education and self-care through giving them regular talks. I helped HERAC win two awards (national and regional) for best charity group.

I am an avid sports enthusiast. My favourite players are Sachin Tendulkar, Roger Federer and Andrew Flintoff. I like singing and composing classical music and also enjoy travelling and knowing the history of all the places I've visited.
