I am a specialist upper limb surgeon with expertise in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand disorders. I am experienced in keyhole and open surgery, joint replacement surgery and the non operative management of upper limb disorders. My practice philosophy is that I wish my patients to have the best possible experience and outcomes during their care. I firmly believe that patients should be well informed about their condition and should take part in the decision making. I am on the specialist register for Orthopaedics and Trauma.
I grew up in London prior to attending University College London Medical School. I carried out a Masters research degree at Imperial College London prior to completing my higher surgical training on the Newcastle Rotation. I was awarded my Fellowship in 2012 and also completed a post graduate teaching degree at Newcastle University. During my training I worked with many nationally and internationally renowned upper limb surgeons developing skills to manage both traumatic and degenerative upper limb problems.
I underwent a fellowship in Leeds with ex-Olympic athlete and Upper limb/sports surgeon Roger Hackney who invented the Leeds Kuff Patch TM and learnt this procedure. I was also involved in research regarding its use. I have been invited to be on the Faculty of advanced upper limb arthroscopy and sports surgery courses in Leeds and Cambridge. I am also heavily involved in training junior doctors of all levels, acting as their clinical supervisor.
