My surgical experience includes over 1,000 cataract operations, glaucoma drainage procedures and eyelid corrections including over 200 blepharoplastys, squint surgery and dacrycysto-rhinostomy. I also have a wide range of laser therapies to treat a range of retinal diseases. I treat medical conditions like AMD, diabetic retinopathy and vascular occlusions, all of which give blurred vision.

I studied my fellowship in Medical Retina at the University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands under the care of Professor Deutman and Professor Cruysberg. Working with the team in medical genetics, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and uveitis. I studied my Fellowship in Edinburgh, FC Ophthalmology in London and my Diploma in Ophthalmology in Ireland and Glasgow. I did my basis training as a Senior House Officer at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield and at Registrar level at Stobhill Teaching Hospital, Glasgow. My Senior Registrar training was at the University of Nijmegen Radboud Teaching Hospital and I was a Consultant in the Netherlands for 13 years.

I have been working as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Hull Royal Infirmary since February 2003.
