BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
I specialise in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy care covering all joints, spines, sports injuries assessment/treatment and post-operative rehabilitation. I have a special interest in Pilates and Acupuncture.
I enjoy diagnosing injuries and facilitating recovery in a way that works for the individual using the skills I have acquired over the years. As a Mum I am well aware of what being pregnant and raising children can do to a woman's health so helping new Mums return to fitness using pilates and rehab is of interest too. Personally I enjoy swimming, biking and running so have good insight into offering guidance on injuries and rehab related to these sports.
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1997 at Salford University. After 2 years working in the hospitals I specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and in 2019 did my Acupuncture qualifications. While living overseas I qualified as a Pilates and Yoga instructor and also studied further massage therapy. I like to bring elements of this into my rehabilitation of patients.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Ms Nicki Woods at Spire include:
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my kids. I love anything to do with the outdoors and enjoy listening to music. I have recently taken up Triathalon but you'll also find me happy on my Yoga mat or doing Pilates
