I have been a Consultant Hepatologist since 2017. I care for people with all stages of liver disease from patients referred from their GP through to those who need liver transplantation.
I have experience of a wide range of common and uncommon liver diseases, with a special interest in steatotic liver disease (previously referred to as NAFLD, or fatty liver) and alcohol related liver disease.
I lead the BASL specialist interest group for alcohol related liver disease. I am a member of the EASL Policy Public Health and Advocacy Committee. I lead the NIHR funded North of England alcohol team research partnership.
