I have been a consultant oncoplastic breast, reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgeon since 2004. I am very experienced with all aspects of breast enlargement, breast uplift, breast reduction, breast reconstruction and all breast cancer work. I have performed thousands of these operations with consistently high outcomes. I am a member of the Association of Breast Surgery and am a fully certified cosmetic breast surgeon through the Royal College of Surgeons

I am a national cosmetic breast surgery lead for the ABS cosmetic sub-group and am a national trainer for oncoplastic breast surgery fellows.

I am experienced in 3D breast imaging and bio dimensional assessments and have a national reputation for cosmetic breast surgery which greatly complements my reconstructive breast surgery work.

My expertise in oncoplastic breast surgery also includes reconstruction with tissue flaps, lipomodelling, implants, and reshaping therapeutic mammoplasty. Additional details are available on my website.

I provide a personalised service aimed at delivering the highest quality of care to patients. I offer a truly comprehensive breast service and work with an excellent and highly talented multidisciplinary team of specialists supported by two experienced breast care nurses.

My outcomes: I have had no cases of mortality, no cases of MRSA, no cases of DVT or PE. My return to theatre rate is < 1%. In the last 13 years, and over 1,000 cases of cosmetic breast enlargement I have never had an infected breast implant. Patient reported feedback is consistently outstanding (see patients’ feedback on https://www.iwantgreatcare.org/doctors/mr-philip-turton

My wife is a GP full-partner in Tadcaster. I have four children who keep me busy, but still allow me a little time to pursue hobbies. I used to run, scuba dive and even parachute jump but after successive knee injuries I became a keen cyclist and I'm now a member of the Yorkshire Road Club. I have cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats on two occasions for charity. I have completed the National three peaks 24-hour challenge (Snowdon, Scarfell Pike, Ben Nevis!). I participate in cycling time trials. I am a keen artist and enjoy drawing and painting.
