I have a special interest in biological reconstructions of the knee and also in improving outcomes in knee replacements using modern technology. I also have a special research interest in knee replacement design and materials. I'm proud to offer VELYS™ robotic-assisted solution, adding a new level of precision and accuracy for total knee replacement surgery.

I graduated in medicine from Madras, India in 1991 and then did a masters programme in orthopaedic surgery in Calcutta. I was awarded the presidents gold medal by the orthopaedic association.

I then did my higher surgical training in the UK on the Wessex rotation. During this period I trained extensively in knee surgery and knee replacements. I trained under many eminent knee surgeons and have visited many international surgeons to learn a wide variety of complex knee reconstruction procedures.

I am a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee including being their executive member and also am a lifetime member of the Biological Knee Reconstruction Society.

I have now been performing exclusively specialist knee surgery for more than 20 years and have trained numerous senior fellows since 2005 who have now become successful consultants in many parts of the UK and overseas. I have developed a tertiary referral practice in complex biological knee reconstructions, patella-femoral replacement and computer navigated knee replacements.
