I am a consultant ophthalmologist at Spire Leeds Hospital with a special interest in oculoplastic, orbital, lacrimal, aesthetic eye lid surgery and cataract surgery. I have been working at St James's University Hospital, Leeds and Hull University teaching Hospitals NHS, since 2014.
I have performed over 2,000 eye lid surgeries as a consultant eye lid and mid face surgeon. My surgical outcomes have been excellent with minimal complication rate and a very high patient satisfaction. My expertise is in cosmetic surgery of the eyes, eyelids and periocular complex including eyebrows and upper cheeks; lacrimal surgery including treatment of blepharitis, dry eyes and watery eyes (tear duct surgery); management of eye lid skin cancers and reconstruction; thyroid eye disease management and rehabilitation surgery; cataract surgery.
My earlier training as a doctor was in India and later in the UK, before finishing my research fellowship as Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the prestigious Cranfield University, UK, researching into new modalities of treating eye conditions. I later obtained advanced specialist training in eye surgery, oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery at St James's University Teaching Hospital in Leeds.
I am an honorary senior lecturer at Leeds University and have been involved in extensive research in the field of ophthalmology and have more than 100 national and international presentations and published widely in peer reviewed journals.
Currently I lead the oculoplastic services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and am also managing director of “Aesthetic eye YUVA” providing facial non-surgical aesthetic services.

I am an avid cricket fan and represented my school and college at an intermediate level. I keenly follow England and Indian cricket teams. I like travelling and just before the Covid lockdown, my family and I enjoyed a four-week tour of the Wonders of the World, which was an experience of a lifetime. I support charity work by participating in medical/surgical camps through international charity organisations.
