Spire Leeds receives national UKAS accreditation

11 July 2019

Spire Leeds announce their pathology laboratory and service has received national UKAS accreditation following a full inspection.

United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the inspection body recognised by the Government to assess organisations that provide pathology services against internationally-recognised standards

Pathology laboratory accreditation uses criteria and procedures specifically developed to determine technical competence, thus assuring referring medical professionals and patients that the test, calibration and measurement data provided by a laboratory is reliable and accurate

The inspection took place this month and the team are delighted to have received full accreditation.

James Brown, Pathology Manager, Spire Leeds comments “the excellent news of our UKAS accreditation is a testament to the hard work of our pathology team and consultant referrers who work closely with us“.
