I am a Consultant Paediatrician at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, with expertise covering an extensive range of conditions in children, from newborns to adolescents. I have worked as a paediatrician and educator in the UK for over 16 years. Since 2013 I have been a Consultant Paediatrician at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where I see children with a wide range of problems, including critically ill emergency cases.

I have a close network of subspecialist colleagues that allows for enhanced patient care at all times. I have excellent communication skills aided by my fluency in five Indian dialects.

I graduated in medicine from Ambedkar University in Maharashtra, India. I completed my specialty training in paediatrics in India, receiving the National Merit Scholarship from the Indian government. I then worked in Oman, where I received the Appreciation Award for excellence in Paediatrics from the Ministry of Health, Oman.

I am an educational supervisor for paediatric trainees at Nottingham University and I serve as a panel member in their selection process. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am the clinical audit lead for paediatrics and serve on the governance committee at Nottingham Hospital. I am also an examiner for postgraduate paediatric trainees and international medical graduates.

In efforts to maintain a healthy work/leisure balance, I pursue several hobbies and interest in my spare time. I love music and enjoy playing and watching cricket. I have also led my team in inter-state cricket tournaments.
