Specialises in
I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery. I have a keen interest in treating both soft tissue injuries and degenerative conditions affecting the upper limb. I strongly believe in practicing evidence based medicine in all my consultations.
I specialise in orthopaedic surgery focusing on all aspects of the shoulder and elbow. This includes treating conditions without surgery when possible. I am adept at both minimally invasive keyhole surgery and open surgery for both soft tissue reconstruction and joint replacement.
I grew up in Birmingham before coming to Leicester for Medical School. During which I also completed a Bachelors degree in research with honours. Following higher specialist surgical training in Leicester I completed dedicated sub-specialist shoulder and elbow fellowships in Derby and Sheffield. Before returning to Leicester I took up a Consultant post in a Major Trauma Centre in Birmingham and visited internationally renowned centres in America and Canada after being awarded the British Elbow and Shoulder Society travelling fellowship.
I have a consultant position within University Hospitals of Leicester across all three of our hospitals. I have a dedicated practice in elective shoulder and elbow surgery in addition to general trauma. I also have a strong interest in both medical education and training of future orthopaedic surgeons.
