MBBS, MSc, FRCS(Glasg), FEB(ORL-HNS)
My practice covers all aspects of ENT disease. I run specialist clinics in the NHS for nasal disease (nasal allergy/sinusitis/nasal breathing), in both adults and children, and for Paediatric disorders and am involved in the monthly Paediatric Airway Multi Disciplinary Team meeting (MDT). In my Paediatric clinics, in a child-friendly atmosphere, I manage common and less common disorders like hearing loss, snoring, tonsillitis, ear infections, runny or blocked noses, nasal epistaxis, drooling saliva, neck lumps, noisy breathing, tongue ties and prominent or “bat” ears.
In a more specialist field in my NHS practice, I run a busy nasal surgery practice focused in Rhinoplasty and advanced endoscopic nasal surgery techniques. I have extensive experience in endoscopic nasal surgery and use state of art technology, including a 3D Navigation system, for diagnosis and treatment. I currently perform 25-30 rhinoplasties a year and I attend regular courses and congresses to keep enhancing my knowledge and skills.
I completed my training in all aspects in ENT disease and undertook fellowship training in Head & Neck surgery and Rhinology in Queens Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow between 2013-2015. In addition, I undertook fellowship training in paediatric airway management in Birmingham Childrens` hospital in 2016.
In 2016, I was appointed to the post of ENT Consultant at the University Hospitals of Leicester.
I am actively involved in lecturing and teaching medical students, general practitioners and trainee surgeons and I have been an invited speaker in regional meetings. I have the role of Clinical supervisor of junior doctors in UHL.
I am assigned as the Clinical Audit Lead of the ENT Department in University Hospitals of Leicester, ensuring practice adheres to GMC guidance.
