I specialise in period problems, pelvic pain, menopause, vulval conditions, hysteroscopy procedures, laparoscopic surgery, hysterectomy and coil fittings.
I am an advanced laparoscopy surgeon and can perform operations for the removal of ovarian cysts, treatment of endometriosis and hysterectomy. I am also trained in advanced hysteroscopic surgery and can perform polypectomy and fibroid resection procedures.
I routinely look after children, and young adults regarding their concerns about reproductive health, including common conditions like vulvo-vaginitis, labial fusion, PCOS and period problems.
I was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecologist in the UK in 2009 and am primarily based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. I am the lead for gynaecology at University Hospital of Leicester and provide paediatric and adolescent gynaecology services for the East Midlands area.
I obtained specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London and advanced training in laparoscopic surgery and assisted reproduction from University Hospitals of Wales, and undertook a Fellowship year in Adelaide, Australia, prior to being appointed as a Consultant. I am a trained paediatric and adolescent gynaecologist and am affiliated to the British Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology.
I work as a lead for ambulatory gynaecology services at University Hospital of Leicester. I have a passion for medical education and am currently working as a CMG education lead and college tutor at University Hospitals of Leicester.

Apart from routine gynaecological work, lifestyle Gynaecology focusing on prevention of illness and improvement of health through lifestyle modification is my passion. I love nature walks, birdwatching, music, and literature. I also enjoy creating decorative and fancy cakes. I am actively involved in women’s health charity (bhagini Nivedita Pratishthan) which works predominantly empowering rural women in becoming self-sufficient and healthy.
