I graduated from Cambridge University in 1993 and currently work as a Consultant Cardiologist and Medical Director at University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire. I have a specialist interest in heart failure and device therapy.
I pride myself on delivering a high quality service which generates excellent feedback from patients, both within the NHS and independent sector.
I have a wealth of general cardiology expertise, in particular with coronary heart disease, heart failure, palpitations and most other disorders of the heart and circulatory system.
I have specific expertise in the implantation of pacemakers and the diagnosis (with imaging and invasive tests) and management of heart failure. Many patients with breathing problems have disorders of the heart and I have sub-specialty expertise in evaluating these patients and managing them to get them back to as healthy and normal a lifestyle as possible.
In addition, I lead the West Midlands NHS programme on prevention of cardiovascular disease. I have set up, and run dedicated clinics to assess risk of heart disease and its management in patients with symptoms or family members with heart disease.
I am also a cardiologist with an interest in the athletic heart and see both professional and amateur athletes in my sports cardiology interest.
