I am a friendly and enthusiastic consultant, very passionate about my work. I undertake general dermatology clinics; treating acne, inflammatory skin conditions (such as eczema, psoriasis and all types of 'rashes'), allergies and all types of skin cancers. I operate on skin cancers, moles, skin tags and warts.
I have a special interest in diagnosing and managing sun-induced conditions (photodermatoses) and I spent time in renowned photodermatology centres across the UK (London, Manchester, Cardiff, Dundee) as well as in France to broaden my knowledge in this field.
After completing my general medical training in Birmingham, I undertook specialist training in dermatology in renowned dermatology centres in the West Midlands. During my training, I maintained a high professional profile by publishing multiple articles in prestigious national dermatology journals and presenting papers regularly at national and international meetings.
I was awarded prizes by the British Association of Dermatology and the Midlands Dermatological Society as well as a fellowship from the British Photodermatology Group.
Until recently I was a member of the British Association of Dermatology Therapy and Guideline Committee, being involved in producing and updating national clinical guidelines in dermatology. I received specialist accreditation in 2016 when I was appointed as a consultant dermatologist at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (presently working at Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals).
