I am from Four Oaks Sutton Coldfield, studied at King Edward’s School, Edgbaston and received my masters degree and medical training at Cambridge University.

Having trained in London and Birmingham, I finished my senior uro-oncology training at the Christie Hospital, Manchester with Professor Noel W Clarke.

I completed a fellowship in laparoscopic uro-oncology in Melbourne, Australia before taking up a position as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham in 2006.

I have a doctorate in prostate cancer stem cells, am well published and have been awarded multiple awards, as well as research grants topping £70,000.

I have made several national and international presentations. I sit on several national committees and am actively involved in research. I recently helped draft the national guidelines on surgery during the COVID pandemic.

I specialise in all aspects of uro-oncology and laparoscopic urology with a large tertiary referral practice from the whole of the Birmingham area as well as Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and beyond.

My urological surgery includes, vasectomy, vasectomy reversal and adult circumcision.

My practice principles remain good communications and the provision of a compassionate, innovative and excellent quality of care.

I am a nationally recognised kidney cancer surgeon and my skills were showcased in the recent hit BBC TV series “Surgeons: At the Edge of Life: Last Chance Saloon” (Series 1, Episode 2).

I love all sports but I am a keen tennis player. I love travelling, socialising and enjoy the finer things in life. My ideal afternoon would be spent at the botanical gardens or an art gallery with my wife.
