I aim to provide the highest quality foot and ankle service in my chosen elective sub-specialty area.
After undergoing extensive training (in general orthopaedics and trauma) I currently work as a specialist orthopaedic foot and ankle consultant at the New Queen Elizabeth Hospital of The University of Birmingham.
I have a keen interest in total ankle replacement and have undergone specialist training in Liestal, Switzerland. To add to this I have undertaken advanced training in ankle arthroscopy at the Amsterdam Medical Centre Hospital in Amsterdam, a world-renowned Sports Injury Centre. My specialism is in arthroscopic lateral ligament reconstruction of the ankle joint which is done only in a handful of centres in the country.
I'm actively involved in the teaching and training of junior doctors as part of the West Midlands Postgraduate Orthopaedic Training Scheme. I have published articles in International Journals and presented papers at numerous national and international conferences.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Seyed Ashgar Ali at Spire include:

Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at University Hospital Birmingham. (New Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham).
I am married and live close to Spire Little Aston Hospital. In my spare time, I enjoy watching cricket, having played for a team at university level in my younger days. I also enjoy travelling, reading and have an interest in world history.
