MRCGP, MBBS
I am a Partner at a large GP practice in South Liverpool, but I came to medicine a little later in life as a mature student. I studied medicine at St Georges University London, following a degree and a masters degree, and several years working in the medical field. I then carried out two years of training in several London teaching hospitals, before moving to Liverpool. Here I continued with three further years of training in Liverpool hospitals and GP practices, before beginning work at my current practice.
I have a special interest in Paediatrics, and work in the Emergency Department of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as a Senior Emergency Department Doctor, where I have worked for the last five years. I have a keen interest in medical education.
I am qualified as a GP trainer, and supervise the development of GP Trainees throughout their training and qualification process. I also work as a GP appraiser for NHS England, with responsibility for evaluating the ongoing learning and personal development of fellow GPs. I am involved in teaching and supervising medical students, junior doctors, and Physicians Associates. I am also an Honorary University Teacher at The University of Liverpool.

I have lived in Liverpool for over eight years now, with my wife and two children aged 8 and 10, and this city has become our happy home. I have a busy working life, but my main priority in my spare time is being with my family and exploring all that Liverpool and the surrounding areas have to offer. Additionally, I do my best to keep healthy at the gym and swimming pool, and I am teaching myself guitar in any spare moments!
I enjoy the variety and challenges of working in a busy, city GP practice, and being part of this vibrant community and doing my very best for the people of Liverpool. I find it very rewarding to build relationships over time with my patients and their families, and I look forward to continuing to do this with patients at Spire.
