I am a consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon. I am on the GMC specialist register for plastic surgery.
I have a special interest in complex and revisional breast surgery as well as breast reconstruction. This includes breast augmentation, reduction and lifts as well as revisional breast surgery.
I also perform a lot of body contouring surgery including liposuction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), arm lifts, thigh lifts and body lifts as well as labiaplasty and enjoy using fat transfer to achieve natural improvements in contour. I strive to use the most modern techniques such as drain-free abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).
After training in plastic surgery, I completed subspecialty fellowship training in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast and head and neck at guy's and st. thomas' hospitals, london and facial, breast and body aesthetic surgery at the wellington hospital, london.
In the NHS I perform around 50 microsurgical (free flap) breast reconstruction cases per year using DIEP flaps and PAP flaps primarily. I also perform around 150 private aesthetic cases including facial, breast and body procedures per year.
My NHS practice is based in Whiston hospital in the Mersey regional plastic surgery unit at St Helens and Knowsley teaching hospitals NHS trust where I specialise in microsurgical breast reconstruction. I also practice in the NHS at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where I provide complex, revisional and reconstructive breast surgery through the Linda McCartney Centre.
