I graduated from Southampton University in 1996. My experience in Plastic Surgery is extensive having worked at five major centres in the UK over a period of 15 years. I undertake a full range of cosmetic surgical procedures and have expertise in hand surgery having obtained the British Diploma in Hand Surgery in 2015.
At Manchester University I was awarded a higher doctorate (MD) for research involving wound healing. Higher plastic surgical training was undertaken in the Mersey region, leading to the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast) in 2012 and subsequently the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2013 with registration on the specialist register for Plastic Surgery.
During Higher Plastic Surgical Training I completed the North West Aesthetic Fellowship in Chester, Liverpool and Manchester region which was followed by an Advanced Training Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Leeds. My appointment as Consultant in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery followed in 2014 at Whiston Hospital, Liverpool.
I have contributed significantly to plastic surgery literature with over 20 publications in peer reviewed journals and multiple presentations at national and international meetings.
I am a keen teacher who has always been involved in training other surgeons and teach on Plastic Surgery Skills Courses at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I am also part of the faculty teaching at upper and lower limb spasticity courses in Liverpool.
